Welcome to That Crafty Cara!  I’m so glad you’ve stopped by for a visit!

I’ve been blogging for almost ten years on various sites with topics ranging from creativity, to homeschooling, to spirituality.  After a hard look at my bloggy endeavors, I’ve decided to focus upon my favorite interest:  crafting.  I’ve been creating things for as long as I can remember–there’s been painting, embroidery, crochet, sewing, scrapbooking, knitting, quilting, and cake decorating, to name a few.  If it means I get a chance to make something beautiful, I’m probably interested in learning how to do it!

My days are filled with all the things that a mama needs to do with four young children and a very busy husband.  I used to homeschool my children, but have decided to take a break for the time being.  I thought I’d have more time for crafting, but it turns out that I just have more time for laundry and vacuuming, which I think were horrendously neglected during the homeschool years!

I love beauty, and I’m always trying to make more of it through whatever varied means and resources I have at my disposal.  Sometimes it’s quilting, other times it’s knitting, often you’ll find me in my garden trying to create a landscape I enjoy gazing at from the window, and far too often I unleash my creativity with cookie decorating, which doesn’t sound like a bad idea until I divulge the truth about how I tend to eat most of the cookies myself.  🙂

You can expect an eclectic array of creative endeavors on my blog.  Sometime I’ll stick with a skill for months upon months, and other times I’ll flit back to an activity sporadically over the course of years.  It’s all supposed to fun, right?  I firmly believe that you should create what your heart wants to create, when it wants to create it.

Be sure to sign up to follow my blog so you won’t miss out on a thing!  It’s like a nice little gift to yourself:  little bits of colorful inspiration in your inbox!

Looking forward to sharing some creativity with you!
